كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان الأثريّة - صليما يعود بناء الكنيسة إلى سنة ١٦٥٨، فمع توافد الموارنة إلى البلدة شرعوا ببناء كنيسة. ساعدهم على بنائها الآباء الكبوشيّون الذين بدؤا رسالتهم في دير مار بطرس في البلدة وجلبوا لإعانة موارنة البلدة معونة ماديّة من الكاردينال ريوشوليو وزير الملك لويس الثالث عشر. سنة ١٦٨٤ كرّس المذبح البطريرك أسطفان الدويهيّ. البناء كناية عن عقدِ مُصالب، يتميّز ببابٍ فخمٍ قدّمه أمراء آل أبي اللمع. تعرضت الكنيسة للتخريب إبّان الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة. ورمّمت في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين St. John the Baptist Ancient Church - Salima The construction of the church dates back to the year 1658 when the Maronites began to settle in the town and started building a church. The Capuchin fathers, who began their mission at the Monastery of St. Peter in the town, assisted them in its construction. They brought financial assistance from Cardinal Richelieu, the Minister of King Louis XIII, to support the Maronites of the town. In 1684, Patriarch Estephan Douaihy consecrated the altar. The building is in the shape of a crucifix and is distinguished by a magnificent door donated by the Al Abi Al Lamaa family. The church suffered damage during the Lebanese Civil War and was restored in the 1990s.

المحبسة عبارة عن تَجوِيفٍ مَحفُورٍ فِي الصَّخر، بِدَاخِله صُوَرٌ جُدرَانِيَّةٌ تعود إِلى القَرن الثَّاني عَشَر. مِن بَينِ هِﺬهِ الجُدرَانِيّات رَسمُ الشفاعة، وَكِتَابَةٌ سِرَيَانِيَّةٌ لَم يَبقَ منهَا وَمِن الرُّسُومِ إلّا القَلِيل بِسَبَب عَوَامِل الطَّبِيعَة وَجَهل الإِنسَان. يَتمُّ الصُعُودُ إِلَى غُرَفِ الدَّير بِوَاسِطة سَلَالِم خَشَبِيَّةٍ وَأُخرَى حَدِيدِيَّةٍ مُستَحدَثَةٍ.تُجَاوِرُ دَيرَ مَار سِمعَان كَنِيسَة مَارت مُورَا، وَهِيَ عِبَارَةٌ عَن نَقرٍ في الصَخرِ.بحسب الخبراء جداريّات عبيدات تعودُ لراسم جداريّات كنيسة مار تادرس بحديدات.

The hermitage of St Simeon the stylite in Wadi al-Bouwayli'e - 'Abeydat

The monastery is a hollowed-out cavity in the rock, containing frescoes dating back to the XIIth century. Among these wall paintings is the depiction of the deisis, as well as Syriac inscriptions, of which only a few remain due to natural factors and human ignorance. Access to the monastery's chambers is achieved through newly installed wooden and iron ladders. Adjacent to the Mar Simeon monastery is the St Moura's Church, which is a carved cave in the rock. According to experts, the wall paintings in 'Abeydat belong to the same artist who painted the wall paintings in the Mar Tadros Church in Behadidat. La Ermita de San Simeón el estilita en Wadi al-Bouwayli'e - 'Abeydat El monasterio es una cavidad excavada en la roca, que contiene frescos que datan del siglo XII. Entre estas pinturas murales se encuentra la representación de la deisis, así como inscripciones siríacas, de las cuales, debido a factores naturales y la ignorancia humana, solo quedan unas pocas. Para acceder a las cámaras del monasterio se utilizan las escaleras de hierro y madera recién instaladas. Colindante al monasterio de San Simeon se encuentra la iglesia de San Moura, que es una cueva tallada en la roca. Según los expertos, las pinturas murales de 'Abeydat pertenecen al mismo artista que pintó las pinturas murales de la iglesia de San Tadros en Behadidat.

كنيسة السيّدة القديمة - صربا النبطيّة

كان البناء أساسًا جزءً تابعًا للقلعة العثمانيّة القريبة منه، إشتراه أهل البلدة وحوّلوه إلى كنيسةٍ كرّسها المطران بولس بصبوص سنة ١٩١١. البناء كناية عن سوقٍ واحد مسقوفٍ بالقرميد. رُمّمت سنة ٢٠٠٥. تحوي الكنيسة لوحةً للعذراء محليّة الصنع تعرّضت للضرب بالرصاص خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The old church of Our Lady - Sarba el Nabatieh

The building was originally a part of the nearby Ottoman castle, the villagers bought it and converted it into a church that was consecrated by Bishop Boulos Basbous in 1911. The church consists of a single nave with a brick roof, it was renovated in 2005. In the church is displayed a local painting of the Madonna that holds marks of Ottoman bullets from World War I.

كنيسة مار ميخائيل - بكفيّا

سنة ١٥٩٠ حدث خلاف بين البطريرك سركيس الرزّي والمطران أنطون الجميّل الذي منعه من زيارة بكفيّا، فاستاء العديد من آل الجميّل جرّاء هذا الخلاف وناصروا البطريرك، ممّا دفعهم لبناء كنيسة جديدة سنة ١٥٩٢ بسعي الخوري عيسى الخرّاط مكرّسة لمار ميخائيل. توسّعت الكنيسة عدّة مرّات أهمّها سنة ١٨٨٧ حين أعاد تكريسها المطران نعمة الله سلوان، وبعد الحرب الأهليّة. تضمّ الكنيسة قبّة نيوغوطيّة يعلوها تمثال مار ميخائيل. لوحة مار ميخائيل هي للمستشرق وليم الألمانيّ تعود لسنة ١٨٣٩، أمّ لوحة العذراء فهي من رسم حبيب خوري سنة ٢٠٠٦.

The church of St Michael - Bikfaya

In 1590 a conflict happened between Patriarch Sarkis el Rezzi and bishop Antoun Gemayel who forbade him from visiting Bikfaya. Because of this mishap, many supporters of the patriarch from the Gemayel clan decided with father Issa Kharrat to build a church dedicated to St Michael in 1592. The church was enlarged and renovated on several occasions, the most important are 1887 when it was rededicated by bishop Nematullah Salean and after the Lebanese Civil War. The church holds a neo gothic bell tower. St Michael’s painting is the work of a german orientalist called William and dates back to 1839. The painting of the Madonna is painted by Habib Khoury in 2006.
