كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان الأثريّة - صليما يعود بناء الكنيسة إلى سنة ١٦٥٨، فمع توافد الموارنة إلى البلدة شرعوا ببناء كنيسة. ساعدهم على بنائها الآباء الكبوشيّون الذين بدؤا رسالتهم في دير مار بطرس في البلدة وجلبوا لإعانة موارنة البلدة معونة ماديّة من الكاردينال ريوشوليو وزير الملك لويس الثالث عشر. سنة ١٦٨٤ كرّس المذبح البطريرك أسطفان الدويهيّ. البناء كناية عن عقدِ مُصالب، يتميّز ببابٍ فخمٍ قدّمه أمراء آل أبي اللمع. تعرضت الكنيسة للتخريب إبّان الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة. ورمّمت في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين St. John the Baptist Ancient Church - Salima The construction of the church dates back to the year 1658 when the Maronites began to settle in the town and started building a church. The Capuchin fathers, who began their mission at the Monastery of St. Peter in the town, assisted them in its construction. They brought financial assistance from Cardinal Richelieu, the Minister of King Louis XIII, to support the Maronites of the town. In 1684, Patriarch Estephan Douaihy consecrated the altar. The building is in the shape of a crucifix and is distinguished by a magnificent door donated by the Al Abi Al Lamaa family. The church suffered damage during the Lebanese Civil War and was restored in the 1990s.

محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - بقرقاشا

هذه المحبسة المبنيّة في حرف شيرٍ صخريّ، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بنتها سنة ١١١٢ تقلا إبنة الخوري باسيل البشرّاني على إسم مار جرجس ومار ضوميط، وما برحت وتحوّلت على اسم مار سمعان العاموديّ. يشهد على ذلك كتاب الريش قُريان السريانيّ الخاص بالمحبسة، الذي يعود لسنة ١٢٤٢، وهو محفوظ في جامعة السلامانكا.

St Simon the stylite hermitage - Bqorqasha

The hermitage is built on the slope of a rocky cliff in the holy valley of Qannoubin. It dates back according to patriarch Stephen Al Douwaihy to year 1112 when Thekle the daughter of a priest named Basil of Bsharre built a hermitage dedicated to Sts George and Doumith, that was rededicated to St Simon the stylite. A Syriac lectionary proper to the hermitage, the Rish Qoryan, dating back to 1242, that was discovered and conserved in Salamanca’s university, attests this story.

كاتدرائية مار ميخائيل - الزاهريّة طرابلس

شُيِّدت الكاتدرائيّة سنة ١٨٥٨، واكتُمل البناء سنة ١٨٨٩. كان الساعي لبنائها الخورأسقف يوسف فاضل السمعاني. انتقلت الكاتدرائيّة الى كنيسة مار مارون أواسط القرن العشرين. تتميّز الكنيسة بطرازها البازيليكيّ ونقوشها الشرقيّة.

The Cathedral of St Michael - El Zahrye Tripoli

The cathedral was built in 1885 and completed in 1889. It was Chorbishop Youssef Fadel El Semaany who commissioned the construction. The seat of the bishop was moved to the new St Maroun Cathedral in the mid XXth century. The church is basilical with distinctive oriental arabesque.

كنيسة مار بطرس وبولس - قرنة شهوان

شيّد أهالي قرنة شهوان كنيسةً بإسم الرسولين بطرس وبولس في أواخر القرن السابع عشر دفع معظم أكلافها الحاج مفرج غبريل، وكرّسها المطران الياس محاسب سنة ١٧٢٠. تجدّدت باتّفاق وتبرّعات سكان القرية عمومًا بسعي المطران بطرس الزغبي نحو سنة ١٩٠٨. تجدّد بناء الكنيسة عام ١٩١٢ في عهد الخوري إلياس زعرور كاهن الرعية، فأتت برسمها الباريسي آية قي الجمال والإبداع. سنة ١٩٩٦، رُممت الكنيسة و رُسمت الزجاجيات. الكنيسة بناء نيوغوطيّ الطراز.

The church of Sts. Peter and Paul - Cornet Chehwan

The church was built in the late 17th century, and the greater part of its expenses were covered by Hajj Moufarrej Ghobril. It was consecrated by Bishop Elias Mhaseb in 1720. Through the initiative of Fr. Elias Zaarour and the locals, it was rebuilt in 1912 and reconsecrated by Bishop Boutros el Zoghby. The church was reconstructed in a Neo-Gothic style with Parisian-inspired decorations. In 1996, it was renovated and stained glass windows were added.
